This Marayong garage was doing what most garages do — storing things nobody uses. The owners wanted it working as real living space, connected to the granny flat next to it.
We opened the two spaces up with a new internal door, then replaced the roller door with a sliding door so the room finally gets natural light and its own access to the yard. Timber flooring went down over the slab, and the whole space got a full paint refresh — walls, ceilings and trim.
The result is a bright, warm room that reads as part of the home rather than an afterthought. It’s one of the cheapest ways to add usable floor space to a property without building anything new.
